ABOUT US

Understanding that we are more than physical beings, No Moore Stress recognizes that suffering from stress or depression leads to taut muscles, continuing the cycle of pain and discomfort. The combination of mental strain and frequent physical activity can create debilitating symptoms hindering quality of life. Using a holistic approach, we encourage our team to assist physical movements with rhythmic breaths to calm the nervous system, allowing muscles to relax and tension to leave the mind. We include guided proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation to increase range of motion through joints and lengthen fascia.

Managing stress enhances our ability to think clearly, live fully, and act from a place of balance. By establishing this natural equilibrium, we improve our physical and emotional well-being, leading to greater comfort in our daily lives.

What We Do

Myofascial Release Technique

Myofascial release is an alternative medicinal therapy claimed to be useful for treating skeletal muscle immobility and pain by relaxing contracted muscles, improving blood and lymphatic circulation and stimulating the stretch reflex in muscles.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage is primarily use to treat chronic pain and muscle and sports-related injuries. Using the palm, fingers, forearm, and occasionally the elbow to knead and manipulate the tissue, a deep pressure will be applied to engage the inner layers of muscle.

Graston Tissue Activation

The Graston technique induces inflammation to boost blood flow and promote healing in affected soft tissues. Using a cross-friction massage, which involves brushing or rubbing against the grain of the scar tissue, the practitioner re-introduces small amounts of trauma to the affected area.

Hypervolt Massage

Comprehensive massaging tool for muscle recovery and enhanced performance. It uses percussion therapy to deeply massage muscles, promoting blood circulation, relieving muscle stiffness, and reducing soreness after workouts or long days.

Active Release Technique

During ART sessions, a practitioner applies deep pressure to soft tissue while stretching the affected area. The goal is to break up the adhesions and scar tissue that form when soft tissues, such as muscles, tendons, and ligaments are injured.

Reflexology

Although reflexology is sometimes called foot massage, it is more than simple foot massage. Reflexology involves applying pressure to certain points on the foot that correspond to organs and systems of the body.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I need to remove my clothing during the massage?

During any massages at No Moore Stress all clothing will be asked to remain on. This is a professional courteously we stand by. We ask you to wear clothing that provides access to areas needing treatment. Clothing items such as turtle neck tops, jeans, and necklaces are strongly discouraged. Common athletic wear such as t-shirts, shorts, and tank tops are ideal.

How Often Should I Get Massages?

The answer depends on many factors: your physical condition, your mental and emotional health, and (of course) your circumstances and budget. Once a week is ideal for more active individuals, although understandably it’s not possible for everyone. Even if you can commit to once a month, you’re sure to notice positive changes in your physical health, stress levels, and quality of life.

I’m self-conscious about _____. What should I do?

We all have parts of our body we're self-conscious about. Some areas you may be concerned about are:

-Your weight

-Unwanted body hair

-Scars

-Acne or other skin conditions

Please don't let this stop you from getting help from a massage therapist. If you're sensitive about a particular area, ask them to avoid it. You can also opt for a fully clothed massage. Whatever your concerns, know that your therapists are friendly, supportive and judgment-free.

What's included in the massage I'm getting?

Depending on the pain level and areas needing to be addressed, our staff will have a brief consult with you to best recommend the type of treatment. Individuals with general somatic (bodily) stress will need less acute attention to specific areas. Individuals with chronic acute pains that hinder range of motion or mobility will need greater attention and possibly more frequent treatment. Sports-focused massages will always include the use of ART and Graston activation while deep tissue massages will be geared towards Myofascial Release and Hypervolt.

Are there any consent forms that I will have to fill out?

Yes, we require everyone who is receiving any type of service from No Moore Stress to fill out and complete a consent form.
